A Pennsylvania man, who was on a holiday in Jamaica, drowned while swimming, according to the police. The incident took place off a popular resort town located at the western part of the Caribbean island.
The victim has been identified as David McCormick, 43, residing in the state of Pennsylvania, US. Details about the man's hometown has not been released by the Jamaica Constabulary Force.
David McCormick had come to a resort situated on Negril's seaside cliffs.
According to the police the man was swimming off the beach town of Negril when he fell into trouble. But before he could be rescued, McCormick drowned.
