
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has lifted the vehicle and speed restrictions on the Interstates west of Interstate 81. To ease motorists.
Interstates 70, 99, 76 between Bedord and Carlisle and 80 between the Interstate 99 and Interstate 81 are all impacted.
The interstates east of Interstate 81 are still restricted. The Interstates are 80, 81, 83, 176, 283, 380 and 476 and all non-interstate expressways. At these interstates the speed limit is reduced to 45 mph and the affected interstates are closed to tandem trailers, empty trailers, buses, motorbikes, recreational vehicles and towed trailers.
Restriction on the Interstate 76 of Pennsylvania Turkpine will be lifted from the Bedford interchange (Exit 146) east to the Carlisle Interchange (Exit 226).
As New York has closed the Interstate 84 within its borders the interstate is closed to all trucks.
The drivers need to continue the exercise caution as the storm continues to impact the entire Northeastern section of the country and especially northeastern Pennsylvania.
