Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya are two well-known brothers in cricket, but there have been questions about whether their bond is strained recently. Speculation grew after Krunal celebrated in a big way when he took Hardik's wicket during IPL 2026. However, shortly after, Krunal clarified that things were "all okay" between them. Now, he has reassured everyone about their relationship, mentioning that they often discuss cricket and help one another improve. "Of course, we have played together. We have always talked about cricket in terms of strategy and technique, which is helpful, right? When you have your brother in the same sport, or when we are both in the same field, it’s always beneficial," Krunal expressed in an interview with Times of India.
"So, our discussions about cricket have always been constructive and positive about how we can improve. And yes, having 10 trophies in our family is quite impressive. So, we are grateful," he mentioned.
Krunal has found success at Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), playing a key part in them winning IPL titles in 2025 and 2026. He has taken 31 wickets across these seasons while scoring 335 runs as a lower-order batsman. In contrast, Hardik had a tough time in the IPL 2026 season, as his team, Mumbai Indians (MI), ended up ninth out of ten. Hardik scored only 206 runs and managed just four wickets in the recently concluded season. Hardik is younger than Krunal by two and a half years. The brothers played alongside each other at Mumbai Indians for several seasons in the 2010s and early 2020s, securing multiple championships. After their time together, Hardik led Gujarat Titans (GT) to victory in their first IPL season in 2022, while Krunal has now celebrated two wins with RCB.
