Lumio has recently ventured into the smart TV segment in India and is now hinting at the upcoming release of a new product line: projectors. Established by former leaders from Flipkart and Xiaomi, this homegrown consumer tech company is preparing to introduce two projector models in India — the Lumio Arc 5 and Lumio Arc 7. While detailed information is still not available, these projectors are anticipated to be portable and competitively priced. According to a post on X (previously known as Twitter), the launch date for the Arc 5 and Arc 7 projectors is set for July 7 in India. Initial teaser images provide a first look at both models. The Lumio Arc 7 is positioned as the premium offering in the Arc series, featuring a larger design that resembles a PC cabinet. In contrast, the Lumio Arc 5 is expected to be a more compact version, emphasizing portability. Both models will be available in a classic black color.

The Arc 5 and Arc 7 projectors appear to incorporate a built-in adjustable stand, referred to as “understand”, which facilitates angle modification. The packaging design also indicates that the Lumio Arc projectors will utilize Google TV, similar to the previously launched Lumio Vision 7 and Vision 9 4K smart TVs. The Lumio Vision series made its debut in India back in April, designed to tackle various customer complaints such as memory capacity, speed in app loading, quick installation of applications, boot-up times, and scrolling efficiency. The startup aimed to resolve these issues by implementing a proprietary ‘Boss’ processor, paired with 3GB of DDR4 RAM. However, it remains uncertain if the Lumio Arc projectors will share the same goals. Additionally, it is anticipated that the Arc 5 and Arc 7 will come equipped with Google Assistant support, allowing control through voice commands.
These new projectors are expected to facilitate image projections of up to 100 inches. They will officially support platforms like Netflix, Prime Video, and YouTube. Furthermore, Lumio is likely to include the TLDR app in the Arc 5 and Arc 7, enhancing access to sports and music programming.
