Aston Martin is preparing to introduce the Vanquish to the Indian audience on March 22. This exceptional sports car is notably scarce, with a global production capped at merely 1,000 units, enhancing its exclusivity within India. Additionally, the Vanquish stands out as one of the few sports cars still utilizing a V12 engine. It is essential to highlight that this engine is not naturally aspirated; rather, it is equipped with twin turbochargers to boost its performance.
At the heart of the showcase, the Aston Martin Vanquish features a 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 engine that delivers an impressive 823 horsepower and a peak torque of 1,000 Nm. This powertrain is mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox, directing power to the rear wheels via an electronically managed limited-slip differential. The blend of these elements enables the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds, achieving a maximum speed of 345 km/h, thus making the Vanquish the most potent and swiftest series-production vehicle from Aston Martin.
To enhance its performance, the car boasts an extended wheelbase that aids in delivering superior ride quality and stability. This is complemented by an advanced suspension system featuring adaptive Bilstein DTX dampers. For improved maneuverability, it comes equipped with electric power steering that has been specially fine-tuned, alongside new electronic stability controls. The Vanquish grips the road with 21-inch forged alloy wheels fitted with Pirelli P Zero tires. Stopping power is managed by a carbon ceramic braking system with 410 mm discs at the front and 360 mm discs at the rear.
The design of the Vanquish strikes a balance between aggression and elegance. The front showcases a prominent grille flanked by Matrix LED headlights and a bold splitter, all reflecting the brand's signature design language. The sleek side profile features intricately sculpted carbon fibre with flush door handles. At the rear, elegance meets ferocity, highlighted by a quad exhaust system with titanium tips and an assertive diffuser.
